October 14: Catching Up Over 30 Years

The word percolated to Jennie that we were in Surrey. She was one of Louise’s school friends, way, way back. She is now in Langley, and invited us over, since it is not far away.

Between reminiscences, and catching up on the intervening years, we had a really good visit … helped by a nice lunch. Thank you Jennie.

It was strange to be in a house again. We had almost forgotten what it was like! Jennie’s dog, Winston, was a hit too … half schnauzer, so what can we say! A lovely house and a nice garden in a pleasant rural setting. Much appreciated, and thanks for taking the pictures, Jennie, since I had forgotten our camera.

We were planning a shopping trip on the way back, but the traffic was more wicked than usual, and the rush hour was approaching, so we limited ourselves to a stop at Chapters. Tomorrow we will try to fit our shopping in between the rush hours, though that is almost impossible!
