Into the unknown.
Up the north shore of Lake Superior, and a road that demanded attention. Some roadworks, but as far as I know, I only demolished one of those cute orange cones. Serious grades, but the little red truck coped without a murmur. Past similar scenery that flanked the railway, and into Lake Superior Provincial Park.
This has to be the tightest camp site yet. Quite pleased that we made it with inches to spare from the tall pines. Neighbours congratulated us, but spoiled my fun by mentioning that the trees did sway when the wind got up … maybe we were a mite too close. But we were “on the beach” of Lake Superior, with Elaine threatening to swim. (Not yet!)
A magnificent supper as the sun set on the lake … adding to our “memorable moments” in a life full of such.
Warm, few bugs, sandy beach, and a view to die for. This is what life is all about!
